Closet Organizing
Organizing your closet can seem daunting if you have alot of clutter or have a hard time letting go of clothes. Here are few helpful tips to get the ball rolling for some closet organizing:
1) Empty out the entire closet and give it a good vacuum and clean. A fresh clean start will encourage you to put back only the items that you love
2) Grab two bins or boxes and a garbage bag - one box will be for items to be donated, one box is for items needing repair or dry cleaning and the garbage bag is for items that cannot be donated and/or any garbage.
3) Start putting items back into your closet, remember to choose the items that you truly love. Organizing by colour helps you to see the items that you have. Purge items that you haven't worn in the last 6-9 months, items that are out dated, items that no longer fit and items that are worn out. Keep clothing that you love and that makes you feel good. Put aside any items that need repair or cleaning.
4) You should now start to see your closet taking shape! Don't forget to take the items to your local thrift store, or if you don't want to make the trip, Big Brothers and Canadian Diabetes Association will pick up right at your door step.
Have fun!!
